Regular visitors to Avalonia will notice that there has been a complete redesign and whilst there is plenty of new resources, there is also some material which used to be here which is no longer - see Avalonia Archives for some of these.

After more than 10 years we felt it was time to refocus this website slightly as some of the material no longer reflected our own practices, or in some instances they were just completely out of date or we have since then come to different opinions as a result of the research we have been doing, both together and independently, or with others.

Whilst this is the new format, we would like to visit on a regular basis as we will be adding more content to the site on an ongoing basis. Likewise, check out the links provided under 'Web of Becoming' (left menu) for other websites related to this one where you may find some of the material which used to form a part of this site.

New articles have been added to the Wiccan Tradition, Magick in Theory, Magick in Practice and Gods & Goddesses sections - with more to follow in the coming months.

The Book Reviews (incuding the archived reviews from 2002-2004) have now been moved to its own website - the Avalonia Esoteric Book Review. On this new site a number of reviewers, all with experience of the art magickal and all with their own unique perspectives, likes and dislikes, will continue to add new reviews of books on a wide variety of metaphysical, occult and esoteric topics - including Ceremonial Magick, Divination and Tarot, Paganism, Witchcraft and Wicca, Spell craft, results magic, magickal fiction, conspiracy, templar mysteries, freemasonry and historical / academic works on the ancient world - and pretty much everything inbetween.

Information on books published by Avalonia can now be found on www.avaloniabooks.co.uk including ordering details. Extracts from some of these books will be added to the relevant sections of this website in due course, some of the extracts which previously were made available here is still available - such as the Heptagram ritual.

Maybe one of the most significant changes is that we have decided to close the Avalonia Community Discussion Forums. This was done for a variety of reasons, but primarily because Sorita no longer have the time to dedicate to managing the forums and the administration that accompanies it. Managing a forum of its size and popularity takes a great deal of time, and since becoming parents in December (2007) and with the success of the Avalonia publishing company, as well as juggling a number of other commitments, Sorita is unable to dedicate the time and energy she was once able to towards keeping the forums active. For those mourning the loss, please see Forums to go and explore for a list of forums facilitated by members who were active on the Avalonia forums where you may be able to continue discussions, debate and the exchange of ideas previously facilitated by the Avalonia Community Discussion forums.
