Farewell

For 12 years, and with many incarnations on the journey, Avalonia.co.uk housed community resources for the Wicca, Pagan and Western Esoteric Tradition Community. It supported thriving communities, both online and in the London area, as well as in other parts of the UK during that time - and it also offered many other resources and services during this time.
The time has come for change now ... today there are many more resources on the internet which provides the information for new seekers which Avalonia.co.uk once did, and many more online communities on the social networking scene and the hundreds of other websites which now also provide specialised information on subjects such as classical paganism, egyptian magic, qabalah, grimoires, wicca and witchcraft.

Sorita d'Este was the creatrix and founder of Avalonia, and you can continue to read about her research and work, as well as her musings on things she is passionate about on her personal website - www.sorita.co.uk

David Rankine also contributed many articles and resources to this site over the years, and you can continue to read about his work on his website and blog, www.ritualmagick.co.uk

Both Sorita and David are esoteric authors and researchers, through their work they explore the mysteries, folklore and mythology of the ancient world, as well as the practices of the grimoires and ceremonial magic. Many of their books are available through the publishing company with the same name 'Avalonia' which was set up by Sorita d'Este in 2005 as part of this original website. Avalonia publishing is now a respected publisher of esoteric and folklore works, whose work is aimed at "Expanding the Esoteric Horizons" - in doing so the spirit of this website continues on in the more permanent format of books which are being read around the world today.

If you were a contributing member of one of the communities which formed part of this website over the years I offer you my sincere thanks and kinship for the learning, growing and exploring we did together throughout those heady days of debate and discussion, picnics and moots, rituals and so much more!
